 Chimney Rock State Park is a 996
acre park that lies a little over 20
miles just southeast of Asheville
NC. The enormous rock outcropping
for which the park is named rises
315 feet above the gorge and has
spectacular views of the surrounding
vistas and valleys, and Lake
Lure which spans the lands below. In
addition to the Chimney Rock NC
itself, Chimney Rock State Park is
also the home of the 404 foot
Hickory Nut Falls, one of the
