largest of the Asheville Festivals
and definitely one of the most known
regionally. Belle Chere is a three
day event that creates quite a
frenzy on the streets of historic
downtown Asheville. Featuring live
music, various arts and crafts, and
plenty of games for the whole
family, the Belle Chere Festival is
one of the most popular Asheville Festivals
that take place here each year.
The North Carolina Apple Festival
The NC Apple Festival takes
place each year in the charming
town of Hendersonville NC and
has been a main event and Western NC
Festival for more than 60 years.
Held over Labor Day weekend
downtown, the North Carolina Apple
Festival brings visitors and
residents together to celebrate the
bountiful apple harvest and apple
farming tradition that has sustained
the area. Home to many of apple
orchards, Hendersonville NC is the
Apple Capital of NC, and each year
during the North Carolina Apple
Festival weekend it really shows.
Visit this favorite Asheville Festival
and enjoy the craft vendors,
delicious apple and baked goods and
the King Apple Parade, the festival's
main event.

Festival

than just your average music
festival, the Mountain Dance & Folk
Festival in Asheville is the longest
running folk festival in the country
as it has remained a tradition in
Asheville for 79 years, with this
year marking the event's 80th
anniversary. The three day event is
held in August and is a gathering of
old time musicians, mountain dance
groups, cloggers and brings plenty
of great food, crafts and fun to the

in October and features art from
guild members from throughout the
association's nine

Asheville Craft Fair can enjoy craft
demonstrations, browse unique and
handmade goods and enjoy great live
music. This tradition has been a
regular event for decades and
celebrates its 60th anniversary this
year.

The Asheville Herb Festival
takes place in the spring and has
been called one of the best herb

and spices. Environmentally friendly
wares are sold, and visitors can
purchase and learn how to make
products such as herbal salves,
balms, lotions, ointments, herbal
